Information we collect

• Account information such as your name, email address, and sign-in or account identifiers.
• Move and inventory data such as container IDs, room assignments, item names, notes, packing or unpacking status, and timestamps.
• Photos and image-derived metadata you upload or generate while using MoveAssist, including object detection, labels, tags, and other searchable item details.
• Household collaboration data, including household membership, sharing activity, and related permissions.
• Support communications you send to us.
• Limited device, usage, analytics, and error data used to keep the service reliable and improve the product.
• Purchase and billing records associated with Move Pass purchases or gifted access purchases.

We do not sell your personal information or personal data to third parties.

Gifted access and third-party purchases

In some cases, access to MoveAssist may be purchased by a third party, such as a real estate professional, and delivered through a private access link.

For those purchases, we may receive limited purchaser information such as the purchaser's name, email address, payment identifiers, and the status of the gifted access. We use that information to create, deliver, support, secure, and, when necessary, reissue gifted access.

Once a recipient creates an account and redeems gifted access, the recipient's use of MoveAssist is governed by the recipient's direct relationship with MoveAssist.

The purchaser does not receive access to the recipient's move data, inventory, photos, or account activity merely because they purchased gifted access.

Photos and automated processing

When you upload photos, MoveAssist may process them using automated systems to identify objects, extract item details, generate tags or descriptions, and improve organization and search features.

Automated analysis, including AI-based processing, may be inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrect.

Generated tags, descriptions, and metadata are provided to assist you. You remain responsible for verifying important item information, and MoveAssist does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of automatically generated data.

We do not use your photos for advertising, and we do not sell your photos to third parties.

How we use information

• Operate and maintain the MoveAssist service.
• Keep move data in sync across your devices and household members.
• Enable collaboration and shared household workflows.
• Provide search, labeling, photo processing, household collaboration, and support workflows.
• Process purchases, record billing events, and support gifted access purchases and redemption.
• Help troubleshoot issues, recover access, prevent abuse, and protect the security of the service.
• Communicate about service updates, account activity, billing matters, and important notices.
• Improve service performance, reliability, and product features over time.

Payments

Payments for Move Passes and gifted access purchases are processed by Stripe. MoveAssist does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe handles payment information according to Stripe's own terms and privacy policies.

We may retain limited billing and transaction records, such as purchaser email, payment status, Stripe identifiers, and purchase timestamps, for support, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance.

Who can see your information

• You can access move information associated with your account and household permissions.
• Household members you invite may be able to view or modify move information according to the permissions and access model in the product.
• Authorized MoveAssist personnel and service providers may access information only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and support the service.
• A realtor or other purchaser of gifted access does not receive access to the recipient's move data, inventory, photos, or account activity solely because they purchased access.

Sharing

• We share information with service providers and infrastructure partners that help us run MoveAssist.
• We may share information when required for legal compliance, law enforcement requests, or to protect rights and safety.
• We may share information in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
• Household members you grant access to can view move information associated with that household and move.

Support access

Our support team may access account, move, billing, or gifted-access records when reasonably necessary to troubleshoot problems, recover access, investigate abuse, respond to support requests, or maintain service security and reliability.

Such access is limited to what is reasonably needed for the support or operational issue involved.

Data retention

We retain account and move data while your account remains active and you continue using the service. We may also keep limited records for billing, gifted-access support, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal obligations.

You may request account and data deletion by contacting support. Some information may still be retained where required for legal, security, billing, or legitimate operational purposes.

Security

We use reasonable and industry-standard safeguards designed to protect personal information. No storage or transmission system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

MoveAssist is intended for users age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If we become aware that personal information was collected from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date shown on this page. Your continued use of MoveAssist after an update means the updated Privacy Policy will apply going forward.
